From the recording Creoles Skies

Just Keep Walking – Bill McKay - It was important to Johnny to have the influences of the other members of the band be a part of the record. Keyboard player Bill McKay was formerly part of such bands as The Derek Trucks Band and Leftover Salmon. “Just Keep Walking” is a song Bill recorded with Leftover that didn't get much play. When the band heard the song, they decided to re-record it and have it become a duet between Bill McKay and Johnny Ryan on vocals. In Bill's words, “the song is in essence about moving forward and keeping on when the world brings you down. Life is short so be positive.”

- Johnny remembers, “It was pretty cool to trade vocals with Bill McKay on “Just Keep Walking”. They set us up in separate vocal booths right next to each other with a connecting window so we could communicate. We ended up doing more goofing around at each other whenever the other person was singing...Bill is frickin' hilarious and we had a really great time “working” together.”

-JOHNNY ADDS: “The genius harmonizing of the guitars on Just Keep Walking by Scott really brings out the spirits of the Allman Brothers in this song for me.” -Johnny comments. “Just take a second and re-listen to that track and focus on the guitars; harmonies and solos alike and you can hear the emotion and soul of what truly makes Scott Sharrard so great as a musician and a guitarist.

Lyrics

Looking at you and your baby
Wondering why you don't go home
All the stars seem to be falling
You just cant see right from wrong

The sunny side of the street is calling
Why do you want to stand out in the cold
All these kids that don't know nothing
Make you want to set out on your own

Something's wrong, Something's strong
Since you remembered
Life goes on

(Chorus)
Just keep walking'
Walking till the end
Just keep walkin'
Walking with a friend
Even love wont keep you strong
Till the feeling's gone

One at a time keep em coming
It don't matter if you're moving slow
Keep in line, please no shoving
Trying to keep all your ducks in a row

Keep your life so neat and cozy
Never let anybody there
get you down

Just keep walking'
Walking till the end
Just keep walkin'
Walking with a friend

Man this love feels good and strong
And it just won't leave you alone
Just keep walking to the sun
pretty soon you're gonna have to run

So come one, come everybody
We're trying to help this poor boy find his home
All the years you spent together
Never ever fear the unknown

Love is here, love is coming
Better open up your heart
And let it in

Just keep walking'
Walking till the end
Just keep walkin'
Walking with a friend
Even love wont keep you strong
Till the feeling's gone

Just keep walkin'
Just keep walkin'
Just keep walkin'
